Important Update (March 13, 2020): Camp cancelled due to COVID-19
Dear Parents/Guardians:
We regret to inform you that the St. Cuthbert’s March Break Arts Camp coordinating committee has today decided to cancel the camp, in light of the developing situation with the COVID-19 outbreak.
This is out of concern for the health and safety of the campers, our staff, and our volunteer team (most of whom are aged 65+ and particularly vulnerable to the virus). We have made this decision after reviewing the updates and advice from the Ontario Ministry of Health, the City of Hamilton Public Health Services, and local school board.
We are very sorry to cancel, especially at such short notice. We realize that many parents were counting on the camp to provide childcare during work hours next week and that cancellation of the camp leaves you in a difficult position. We hope that you will be able to find alternate arrangements.
We have been planning the camp for months, in partnership with local artists and musicians, and were very much looking forward to delivering high-quality arts programming to your children. We hope you will stay in touch so you can hear about future programs offered by St. Cuthbert’s.
A full refund will be provided for each camper, processed in the next couple weeks via Eventbrite.

About the Camp & Registration
St. Cuthbert’s Presbyterian Church, located in the heart of Westdale Village, Hamilton, is offering a March Break arts camp, from Monday, March 16 – Friday, March 20, 2020.
This camp is open to all children from the Hamilton community. Children must be aged 6-12 years at the time of the camp start.
The theme of this year’s camp is caring for creation. The focus will be on learning about the land, water, air, and animals through music, song, crafts, dance, theatre, and outdoor play.
Camp Hours
Monday, March 16 - Friday, March 20, 2020, 8:30am-3:00pm.
8:30am-9:00am: Drop off
9:00am-2:30pm: Camp activities
2:30pm-3:00pm: Pick up
Unfortunately, extended care beyond these hours is not available.
The last day of camp, Friday March 20th, will have extended hours until 4pm. Parents/guardians are invited to join from 3-4pm for a performance by the children and a social gathering.
Location
Most activities will take place at St. Cuthbert’s, with some outdoor field trips to locations within walking distance of the church. St. Cuthbert’s is located at 2 Bond St N, at the corner of King St W and Bond St N in Westdale Village.
Cost
The cost of registration is $20 per child for the week.
Lunch and Snacks
Lunch and snacks will be provided each day of the camp, included in the registration fee. If your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions, please note this when completing the registration form.

The registration deadline is Friday, March 13, 2020 at midnight. Please register early to avoid disappointment as there are only 30 spots.

Volunteer at the Camp
St. Cuthbert’s is recruiting volunteers to support camp leaders with running the camp during the week of Monday, March 16 - Friday, March 20, 2020. Volunteers are needed to help with lunch and snack preparation as well as with supervision of children during crafts and activities.
